The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) announced that its longtime President and CEO, Bob Hale, has been honored with the 2025 Nate Ellis Award by Inman, one of the real estate industry’s most respected news organizations. The award recognizes leaders who have made a lasting impact through innovation, advocacy, and service to their communities. Hale, who has spent more than five decades with HAR—37 years as its leader—was celebrated for transforming HAR into one of the most forward-thinking associations in the nation, including the creation of HAR.com, which now serves millions of users each month.
This recognition underscores Hale’s extraordinary contributions to the real estate community at large. From pioneering new technologies to championing agents’ success and expanding access to homeownership, his leadership has defined HAR’s reputation for excellence and innovation. With Hale set to retire in early 2026 and René Galvan named as his successor, the award marks a fitting tribute to a career that has shaped the profession and strengthened communities across Houston and beyond.
