Join us in honoring the legacy and extraordinary life of our founding partner and colleague, John Hugh Buck. In 1990, John, along with Bob Rouner, Jim Keenan and Glenn Ballard launched the firm now known as Buck Keenan, LLP. John envisioned a law firm which prioritized top shelf legal work and client service performed by exceptional and dedicated lawyers. Thirty-four years later, Buck Keenan, LLP remains true to John’s vision.
John’s contributions to the legal profession and the community were significant. He contributed quietly, never one to bring attention to himself. This trait was acquired from his father and honed as a U.S. Marine. Self-promotion was anathema to John. John led by deed and example. His humility, grace and extraordinary skill laid the foundation for this law firm. John was known for his compassionate service and dedication to his family and friends. John never quit learning and sharing as evidenced by the 2009 publication of his cult classic – Words of Enrichment: A Quick and Easy way to a Stronger Vocabulary. We are grateful for the legacy and leadership of John Buck and know that it will always set the standard for this firm which bears his name.
