Jury Verdict & Judgment for Client In Employment Contract Case

Buck Keenan, LLP partner John L. Dagley represented a podiatrist who was sued by a medical practice group for allegedly breaching his employment contract.  Specifically, the plaintiff claimed that Buck Keenan LLP’s client breached the employment agreement by failing to comply with various provisions, including those concerning call schedules, patient care, non-competition, and non-solicitation.  The plaintiff sought recovery of reliance damages, lost profits, and attorneys’ fees.   After a week-long trial, the Harris County jury returned a verdict in favor of Buck Keenan LLP’s client, and the court entered a judgment that the plaintiff take-nothing from Buck Keenan LLP’s client and pay all costs of court.
